Stuart Bodek, who did the artwork for Showaddywaddy's Trocadero LP, was a graphic designer brought up in South Africa, and who relocated to London in the 1970s. He painted from Artist Partner's studios in Han Yard, Soho. He was mostly known for illustrating book covers, but also did artwork for stamps and BT Phonecards! He died suddenly in 1996 of a heart attack. Credit PAN Fans Club for this info.

The Greatest Hits 1976 - 1978 album featured a 1974 track 'You Will Lose Your Love Tomorrow', which was included by public demand. The album knocked the Grease Soundtrack off the number 1 spot.

Previous issues of the Guiness Book of British Hit Singles, a bible of UK singles and albums and chart positions, shows Bright Lights as peaking at number 54 in the official album charts. However this would appear to be incorrect as the Official Charts website shows the album actually reached the number 33 position, holding this placing for three weeks between 27 December 1980 and 10 January 1981.

Living Legends was the last album to be released with the original 8-piece line up. Future SWW guitarist Ray Martinez featured on a couple of tracks.

The 1986 Greatest Hits album was withdrawn from sale shortly after release due to a contractual dispute.

Jump, Boogie & Jive featured 'Why?', a single released in 1987 that didn't feature on SWW's 'Best Steps To Heaven' album released that year.

Most of the orginal albums were re-released on CD in the early 2000s by Cherry Red Records on their 7T's label.

The 2002 Hey Rock 'n' Roll album was released to complement Showaddywaddy's musical/theatre tour of the same name.

A TV advert was recorded for I Love Rock 'n' Roll in 2006 but was never broadcast. 'Old Habits Die Hard' was recorded in 1988, whilst 'Hey England' was a reworking of Hey Rock And Roll, recorded for the 2006 England football World Cup campaign. All tracks (except 'Old Habits…') were recorded between March and May 2006. Whilst the official release date was 12 June 2006, the album was available in some shops from 5 June 2006.

The Sun Album release included a limited edition of 500 copies that included a bonus DVD featuring interviews with band members, and a feature of Dave Bartram and Danny Willson at Sun Studios in Memphis. It was the last new album to be released featuring original members Dave Bartram, Al James, Trevor Oakes and Rod Deas. The album was reissued on the Weinerworld label on 23 June 2014 featuring two bonus tracks, 'Drive In' and 'Iko Iko'. These tracks were recorded in 2008 but not included on the original release.

Showaddywaddy Live and Next Chapter were independent releases distributed by the band.

Next Chapter features 2 songs written by band member Rob Hewins, one by Paul Dixon, one by Dean Loach, and one by Loach/Hewins.
