Trevor Oakes Retires

After 36 years in the band, Trevor Oakes, one of the founder members of Showaddywaddy decides to call it a day. Trevor had been taking a break from the band due to ill health and officially retired on 1st May 2009.

Trevor's last gig was at the Cheese & Grain, Frome, Somerset, in December 2008, which was also Al James's last gig prior to his retirement.

All Showaddywaddy fans wish Trev a long and happy retirement, and best wishes for the future. Thanks for the memories!

Look out for Trevor's info page coming soon on Showaddywaddy.net.

Paul Dixon Joins

Trevor's place in the band has been taken by 42 year old Paul Dixon from Leicester.

Paul has played with numerous bands throughout his career and started playing with Showaddywaddy early in 2009.

However, this was not Paul's first time playing with the band, having temporarily filled in for Danny Willson late in 2008 whilst Danny was on paternity leave.

The Sun Album

Showaddywaddy's new album was released in April 2008. It was recorded in Wales and Memphis, the home of rock 'n' roll.
Showaddywaddy toured the album round the UK early in 2009.
