As well as the music, the main part of Showaddywaddy's career and how people remember them is because of their image and dance routines.

This page is intended as a database of footage collected, and known appearances, but where copies have not been obtained.

I have to thank Mick O'Donnell for his help with this - a lot of the information came from scrapbooks he has kept over years.

'The Best Steps To Heaven'.

In 1987, Showaddywaddy released an official video of promotional videos they have made. It mainly featured the videos for their lesser known singles - only two top ten hits are on the video. The run down is as follows:

Blue Moon
Pretty Little Angel Eyes
A Little Bit Of Soap
A Night At Daddy Gees
Doo Wah Diddy
Sweet Little Rock 'n' Roller
Always and Ever
Why Do Lovers Break Each Other's Hearts?
Multiplication
Remember Then

Televison Appearances

These are Showaddywaddy's television appearances that I have obtained. Many are first generation copies taped from satellite TV repeats, but others are second/third/fourth generation copies. The more copies are taken from copies, the more the quality deteriorates.
Those marked were new to me on the last update.....

Other Information

Showaddywaddy performed on many other television programmes. I know they appeared on the following shows, but don't know as many details to warrant putting in the table above:

Jim'll Fix It - approx 1975 when the band met two fans who were totally blind. Rod & Emu's Saturday Special SWW appeared on SwapShop several times. I know three of the dates to be 26th October 1978, 24th March 1979 and 15th April 1979. SWW's 20th appeareance on the show as per the above table could have been on any of the two prior dates, I don't know which. Thanks to the SwapShop site for this info

Russell Owens from South Wales say 'Dancin' Party' was advertised on television prior to release in 1977.

'Out On The Town' was played live for the first time at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe on 21st of January 1984.

Romeo and Dave on Blackpool Beach with Keith Chegwin on Swap Shop during summer 1978. Judging by the umbrella, it looks like it was another typical British summer day! Many thanks to Chris Dabbs of Lincoln for the picture!

In 1981, Showaddywaddy had their own BBC special - the 'Showaddywaddyshow'. Follow this link for more details.

If anyone has any more performances on video, then e-mail me and let me know what you have got.
